The Flanders Marine Institute promotes marine knowledge creation and excellence through sound interdisciplinary research about the ocean, seas, coast and tidal estuaries. The institute does this in close collaboration with other (marine) research groups, citizens, policy makers and industrial partners in Flanders, Belgium, and through international collaboration.
VLIZ, are task leaders for Task 5.2 which will work to identify enabling regulatory and policy drivers to support the implementation of Mission solutions. They play key support roles across the project in Work Packages 1, 3, 4 and 6, where they will concentrate on networking between the Mission and related initiatives, constructing a comprehensive and open database of citizen science projects, support the capture and transfer of Mission solutions, and stakeholder engagement.
