National Research Council of Italy (CNR)

The National Research Council (CNR) is the largest public research institution in Italy, the only one under the Research Ministry performing multidisciplinary activities. CNR’s mission is to carry out research that will promote innovation and competitiveness of the national industrial system, promote the internationalisation of the national research system, provide technologies and solutions to emerging public and private needs, advise Government and other public bodies, and to contribute to the qualification of human resources.

CNR are the coordinators of Work Package 6 which will support the necessary trans-disciplinary and multi-actor approach needed to achieve the Mission objectives. They also play key roles in Work Packages 1, 3 and 4.
