PREP4BLUE are delighted to present a workshop on ‘Supporting an enabling environment : Business models, Regulation and Financial Ecosystem’, on the 3rd of March during the EU Ocean Days Matchmaking event in Brussels.
Based on the outputs of PREP4BLUE’s Work Package 5 and the extensive research carried out by my the Mission Lighthouse CSAs, this workshop will focus on how we create the enabling ecosystem required for the Mission goals from a business, regulatory and economic perspective.
The workshop aims to gather, share and present knowledge, and identify further actions needed to support Mission Ocean’s objectives in becoming financially viable from the bottom up, empowering actors on the ground based on the pilots and experiences collected.
The goals of this session are to:
- Present key results from PREP4BLUE (where we have an entire WP dedicated to this topic) and how they can support other CSAs and stakeholders on the ground fund and advance their Mission Ocean support activities.
- Hear from other CSAs about their work regarding regulations, funding and business models for Mission support, especially related to the priority assigned to their lighthouse in phase 1 of the Mission.
- Reflect on scaling up funding and business models for Mission Ocean and Waters phase 2.
Registration for the event is through the EC Funding and Tenders Portal and can be done so by registering first for the EU Ocean Days and then by registering for the ‘Waves of Collaboration – Matchmaking for the Mission to Restore Oceans and Waters by 2030’ event.
