European Ocean Days Workshop: Harmonizing KPIs and approaches to support development of joint Mission Ocean and Waters monitoring framework

PREP4BLUE are delighted to host a workshop on ‘Harmonizing KPIs and approaches to support development of joint Mission Ocean and Waters monitoring framework’, on the 3rd of March during the EU Ocean Days Matchmaking event in Brussels.

The event will explore how we can harmonize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and approaches to support the development of a joint Mission Ocean and Waters monitoring framework. This framework will enable us to cohesively track the progress of the Mission between now and it’s end in 2030.

During the workshop, participants will gain first hand insights into specific KPIs and monitoring strategies that have been tailored for tracking progress towards the Mission’s objectives. During the session we will discuss how to carry out effective PESTEL analyses and explore the Theory of Change/Impact Pathway framework which is designed to harmonize monitoring efforts across the four Mission Lighthouse sites.

Supporting an enabling environment for the uptake of solutions towards the Mission’s objectives is a core part of the PREP4BLUE. Through dedicated tasks in Work Package 4, PREP4BLUE partners ERINN Innovation (Ireland) have refined and implemented a replicable approach for Knowledge Management that can be used by all Mission R&I stakeholders. The approach will allow stakeholders to accelerate the uptake and impact of their solutions through strategic and targeted knowledge management.

The tried and tested Knowledge Management approach has been in use by ERINN Innovation for over 15 years. The practical 3-step methodology has been utilised to great effect in projects across FP7, Horizon 2020 and now Horizon Europe and will continue to be an invaluable tool for creating impact and achieving the ambitious objectives of the Mission.

Registration for the event is through the EC Funding and Tenders Portal and can be done so by registering first for the EU Ocean Days and then by registering for the ‘Waves of Collaboration – Matchmaking for the Mission to Restore Oceans and Waters by 2030’ event. (Please note that registration for the event is managed  directly by the EC and not PREP4BLUE)
