On the 21st of May, PREP4BLUE and BlueMissionMed in collaboration with EcoDaLLI and BlueMissionAA will host the ‘Sustainable Rivers: Bridging Local and European Initiatives’ event.
Taking place in Rome, this collaborative event will allow key stakeholders at both the local and European levels to showcase their commitments to the Mission and promote partnerships between actions and initiatives at the river basin. The event will feature case studies from across the four EU basins, roundtable discussions and facilitated networking opportunities.
Most importantly, the event will provide participants the opportunity to:
- Engage stakeholders in knowledge exchange and networking to strengthen the local community of contributions in achieving the objectives of the EU Mission Restore our Oceans and Waters from local to basin scale.
- Exchange best practices and identify needs, bottlenecks, opportunities, and concrete key actions (ongoing and future) to meet the goals of the Mission, particularly in reducing pollution and promoting sustainable management of rivers’ basins with a focus on the pilot area of Tiber.
- Explore the community framework for river management as a tool for implementing the objectives of the EU Mission Restore our Oceans and Waters with key actors from the local to the Mediterranean and European level.
The deadline for registration is Monday, May 20th at 12:00 CEST. You can register for the event here.
